About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll help people stay safe and comfortable at home by:

• Helping with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Providing respite care (giving carers a break)
• Helping clients stay active and connected in their community
• Following care plans to meet each person’s needs
• Working as a team to provide the best support possible

To succeed in this role we'd expect you to have:

• A caring nature – genuinely passionate about helping people
• Certificate in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability
• Good communication skills with the ability chat and listen to clients and team members
• Ability to work independently & comfortable using technology

• A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured car
• A Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to get one)
• Experience in aged care or disability support

About the role: 

As a Laundry Assistant at RSL LifeCare, every day you’re empowered to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Within our supportive work environment your compassion is valued and your professional development is prioritised. You will have the opportunity to:  

• Sort contents of the washing bags and trolleys and indicated contents

• on laundry dockets then, wash, iron, fold and pack.

• Cleaning daily of all clothing dryer lint filters.

• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.

• Assist with production flow, i.e. wash, dry, fold, pack, sort, deliver and disperse clothing and associated healthcare accessories as directed.

• Assist in the packing and ordering of linen.

• Assist in the preparation for the next week, such as punching docket sheets and filling folders.

• Assist in cleaning machinery and general laundry area.

• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.

We are seeking a Cook to join our team at Goonellabah Retirement Living Village on a Casual basis. In this role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious, wholesome meals for residents and clients in line with HACCP food safety standards.

We are looking for someone that is ideally available to work 3 - 4 days a week and every second weekend with the shift times being 8am - 2pm. There is flexibility for the right person.

A bit about your new role: 

• Cook and prepare a full range of meals

• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment

• Participate in food operations, including cook‑fresh and cook‑chill processes

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with appropriate variety

• Order food supplies as required

• Prepare special and modified diets

• Support catering for functions and events
   

A bit about you: 

• Experience in a catering or food service role (aged care or retirement living experience desirable but not essential)

• Ability to work independently and within a team, and follow direction

• Strong communication skills

• Knowledge of Food Safety requirements

• Experience in bulk cooking, preferably in aged care

• Understanding of quality systems related to catering services
