This Hub has been made possible thanks to a grant from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and in partnership with RSL NSW. Check out the designs for the Hub which were shared in October 2024.

Community consultation is key
We are working closely with the local veteran and family community to ensure our services meet the local veteran community needs. We conducted a Community Consultation in August 2024, where we discussed the design of the hub, the services that would be available, and importantly what is important to local veterans.
A copy of the presentation which was shared at the Community Consultation event is available here.
ACT Community Consultation
We met with members of the local veteran community on March 14, 2025 and enjoyed a detailed discussion. Progress on the development of the new ACT Veteran and Family Hub are published online. Please visit the ACT Veteran and Family Hub page.
Committed to delivering what the veteran community needs and wants
We met with 40 local veterans and family members on 28 August 2024. We wanted to hear first-hand what was important to you, so we could ensure we are delivering a relevant and meaningful service to the veteran community.
Local veterans want connection and community, as well as advice on how to complete claims for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, wellbeing support and more.
Respondents also indicated that it’s important to have specific accessibility and physical attributes of the Hub, to make it appealing and useful for all veterans and their families.
These are the accessibility features that were cited by the respondents:
parking | transport to the Hub | outreach services |
sensory spaces, and quiet spaces | outdoor area | family/child friendly |
age and disability access | legal services | inviting environment |
We are excited to keep you updated on the progress of the Queanbeyan Veteran & Family Hub.
Your feedback is important to us so that we can deliver the best services possible. Please share your feedback here.
Our efforts are proudly supported by funds from RSL NSW and its sub-Branches, and the services we provide would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. Â
