Caring for our staff
RSL LifeCare is an equal opportunities employer committed to caring for, developing and promoting our staff.
We provide flexible working conditions for our staff across NSW. Our size means that staff are able to apply for available positions in other regions across NSW should their personal circumstances change. We also employ staff in a range of ways from casual to part time, to permanent positions.
At RSL LifeCare we understand that working in a “caring” career is hard work.
Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a range of professional services to support the wellbeing of every individual in the organisation. RSL LifeCare provides up to 6 counselling sessions to all employees per year. The services are provided by fully qualified and registered psychologists or accredited mental health social workers. The 6 counselling sessions are voluntary and free of charge to the employee. Counselling sessions may be for personal, family-related or work-related issues, including workplace conflicts/issues, relationship and family problems, stress, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, alcohol and drug abuse, trauma or financial stress. Counsellors are bound by a code of ethics and all sessions are confidential.
In addition, our corporate intranet site regularly publishes ways to focus on wellness via a designated Wellness section with topics such as mindfulness, setting goals, holiday stress, tips to manage stress and anxiety and more.
