Helping veterans in the North Coast

RSL LifeCare is pleased to announce that we are well on the way to progress the development for the new North Coast Veteran & Family Hub, and our team is now working to finalise the details.  A temporary location will be available first, to provide service coverage for the local veteran community whilst we develop the permanent premise.

This Hub has been made possible thanks to a grant from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and in partnership with RSL NSW.  We were notified of the successful Grant Application in March 2024.

Team Update – Veteran and Family Hub Team

We are pleased to announce that we have a new North Coast Veteran & Family Hub Manager, who joined us in February 2025 to help all local veterans and family members.

We also have a new Veteran and Family Hub Claims Advisor who joined in March who will be part of the North Coast Veteran and Family Hub team.

We are also building our Hub support team, and we are interviewing candidates now for the Engagement Community Officer.  We look forward to sharing the update when the new team member joins.

Community consultation is key

We are going to work closely with the local veteran and family community to ensure our services meet the local veteran community needs.  We held our first community consultation in November 2024, to share the proposed designs of the hub, the services that would be available, and importantly what is important to local veterans.  The key results from the consultation are included below, and the Community Consultation presentation which was shared is available here to view.

We held our second community consultation in April 2025, where we announced the location of the permanent Hub as Level 3, 145 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads.  Please click here to view the presentation and information which was shared.
