2-day Horse Handler Course

Connecting with a horse is a unique and inspiring experience resulting in a new level of calm and confidence. Educating a horse whilst you educate yourself and learn about the horses needs and welfare.

On completion of the Handlers Course you will have the skills to care for horses; and for those who wish to rise to the next challenge it opens up the opportunity for you to complete our Horse Trekking Program.

During the horse handler course you will be introduced to the basics of horse welfare, as well as their nutrition and health needs. You will then take part in a series of activities to develop your skills and level of comfort interacting with horses. Some of the activities include:

  • Catching, haltering and tying up a horse
  • Connect up
  • Tack and its use
  • The basics of educating a horse
