The Renewal Project
For over 80 years, RSL ANZAC Village has been a place of community, care, and service for veterans and seniors. Today, we begin a renewal—reimagining the Village as a thriving, inclusive place where every resident can live with purpose, dignity, and connection.

We are committed to thoughtfully reimagining this cherished township of villages— renewing homes, services, and shared spaces to support active, independent retirement living, new care models for those in aged care and flexibility for those who receive support from Home Care.

Many of the buildings are aging and do not meet consumer expectations or current accessibility standards. Over the next decade, we’ll carefully revitalise the Village, creating modern housing, new care options, and vibrant accessible spaces—while minimising disruption and enhancing daily life.
This renewal is more than an evolution—it’s our aim to create a place where people can age in place, stay connected, and feel truly at home. Two new precincts are proposed to lead the transformation: a Lifestyle Precinct focused on wellbeing and a Main Street and Health Precinct, both creating lively areas for social connection. The Renewal Project aims to deliver a Village of Villages, blending tradition and heritage with collective reimagining.
