At the NBVWC, we are dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of our veterans and their families, with free yoga sessions. As part of our holistic approach to health, we are excited to offer yoga sessions that provide a pathway to physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The yoga sessions will be held every Wednesday at 6.30pm from September 11 for a 6 week period.
The yoga sessions are free for Veterans and their families.
Why Yoga?
Yoga is more than just a form of exercise; it’s a practice that unites the body, mind, and spirit. It combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to promote overall wellbeing. For veterans and their families, yoga can be particularly beneficial, offering a range of physical and mental health benefits:
- Stress Relief: Yoga helps to calm the mind and reduce stress, making it an effective tool for managing anxiety and post-traumatic stress.
- Physical Fitness: Through various poses, yoga improves flexibility, strength, and balance, contributing to overall physical health.
- Emotional Balance: The mindfulness aspect of yoga fosters emotional resilience, helping participants navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.
- Community Connection: Practicing yoga in a group setting provides a sense of community and support, which is essential for the well-being of veterans and their families.
