Shoalhaven: Scale Modelling Workshop

Join us for a relaxed and creative weekly painting group held every Friday during school terms. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have experience with painting miniatures or models, everyone is welcome.

Bring along your own project to work on, let us know what you’d like to paint and we’ll do our best to help, or choose from our range of pre-printed options available on the day.

Across the sessions, participants can learn and develop:

Core Skills

• How to prepare your model
• Safe and effective use of modelling and painting tools
• Foundational painting techniques for smooth, clean finishes

Intermediate Techniques

• Dry brushing
• Detailing and weathering basics
• Tips to bring projects to life with texture and depth

Our experienced facilitator will be on hand to provide guidance, share techniques, and help you build confidence at your own pace.

Whether you’re trying painting for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, this group offers a welcoming space, expert guidance, and plenty of creative fun.

This is a relaxed and welcoming group with no competition or judging. While there is no requirement to attend every week, participants are encouraged to come along whenever they can to continue working on their projects. If you’re unable to attend a particular session, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
