Join us on Friday 27 February for a relaxed morning of hands‑on creativity, facilitated by our Wellbeing Team.
Attendees will be able to choose from simple craft activities involving paints, clay, candles and gems, providing a relaxing session to get crafty and bring your creation home afterwards.
It’s an easy way to unwind, meet others in the veteran community, and enjoy the benefits of doing something mindful together with the craft kit of your choice!
War widows, defence and veteran families are invited to come together for a relaxed and creative morning of connection.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose a craft kit to work on, such as gem art, painting sea shells, candle making, or clay art, and enjoy time to unwind and express their creativity at their own pace.
This welcoming session offers a chance to connect with others in a supportive environment while engaging in hands-on activities that encourage mindfulness, relaxation, and wellbeing.
There is no cost for this activity, but registrations are essential.
Your craft kit and morning tea will be covered by Families of Veterans Guild and Queanbeyan Veteran and Family Hub.
Previous attendees to wellbeing activities said “I really appreciate the opportunity to connect with such a supportive group. It was a perfect way to focus on self-care and make meaningful connections with others.”
