We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Officer to join our maintenance team at our Ballina facility. This role will be to support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, to ensure the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best.
Responsibilities Include- Work as part of a dynamic team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance
- Work to established best practise and maintain homes to the highest standard
- Working in a Busy team environment with no day the same
- Working alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work carried out to compliance requirements
- Carrying out General maintenance and repairs; this may include patching & painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenance

Preferred Attributes
- Previous experience in a maintenance role, aged care preferable but not necessary
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail & excellent communication skills

We are currently seeking applications for a Roving Chef Manager, which will operate across all our Residential Care facilities throughout New South Wales and the ACT. This role, reporting directly into the General Manager Hospitality Services, is designed to support our onsite hospitality teams by driving operational efficiency and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
The primary focus of this role is to ensure leadership coverage when our Chef Managers and Head Chefs are on leave to ensure our residents enjoy an exceptional hospitality experience.
This is a leadership role that includes team supervision, documentation, training and development as well as collaboration with other teams to ensure a customer service culture is maintained and high-quality care is delivered to residents of RSL Life Care (RSLLC).
Please note this role requires frequent travel intrastate based at a range of sites for short periods of time: all travel and subsistence costs will be covered over and above standard remuneration.
A bit about what your new role looks like:- Maintain and oversee a high-quality food service, with high levels of food presentation, which consistently meets expectations of residents and their visitors
- Lead day-to-day management of all kitchen operations
- Maintain ordering systems and supervise ordering for all sections in the main kitchen including textured modified meals and special diet sections. Maintaining food costs within budgetary guidelines
- Provide day-to-day supervision of employees regarding all aspects of food operation, cook-fresh and cook-chill ensuring the high quality and standard of food being prepared and served
- Responsible for Food Safety Plan (HACCP) in accordance with the NSW Food Authority requirements.
- Ensure the Food Audits (internal and external) and Inspections maintain business accreditation requirements.
- Comply with relevant RSL LifeCare WHS policies, procedures, and reasonable instruction
- Certification 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery plus Food Safety Certification
- In depth knowledge of the FSANZ or Vulnerable Persons Act
- Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements and knowledge of modified diets
- Experience in leading and managing person centred catering operations
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and an ability to build meaningful relationships - experience in Aged Care Residential settings an advantage

About the role:
As a Recreation & Engagement Coordinator at RSL LifeCare, every day you're empowered to make a meaningful difference to people's lives. - Tailor activities to meet the resident's cognitive and physical abilities and encourage resident choice and participation in individual and group activities.
- Ensure residents receive appropriate assessments including their life history that will form part of their integrated care plan
- Ensure programs are developed to enrich the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle, learning & spiritual activities
- Coordinating outings that allow residents to stay in communication and have meaningful relationships within their chosen community in a safe and healthy way

About you:
- Cert IV in Leisure and Health and/ or relevant tertiary degree
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
- Ability to assess residents' psychological, social, and emotional needs to identify any barriers to participation in lifestyle activities
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families/representatives
- Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care and associated accreditation requirements.

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. - Your demonstrated compassion, empathy and advocacy. Our teams have a passion for what they do and the impact they make to our residents and their families.
- Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience, teamwork and standard of care.
- Your ability to work independently and demonstrate sound decision-making.
- Your track record of leadership, ability to coordinate care across the team and provide clarity and direction.
- Current AHPRA registration and Australian Working Rights.
