Aged Care Employee Day is a day to thank everyone at RSL LifeCare.

7th August is Aged Care Employee Day. This is a day for us to thank every person who works in our organisation and to acknowledge their contribution to enriching the lives of the veterans and seniors in our care.

From nurses to administrators, from gardeners to chefs, from carers to drivers, from volunteers to allied health care workers, every person contributes to the quality of life of our seniors.

RSL LifeCare is celebrating Aged Care Employee Day for the third year in a row, and we ask the community to take a moment and think about those special people amongst us who work aged care. They are the quiet superheroes who provide care with professionalism, compassion, and dedication for our loved ones.

They deserve our thanks every day, but this week we ask you to reach out to someone who works in aged care and say THANK YOU!

Watch this #ThanksForCaring message from our CEO, Graham Millett to all our aged care workers.

About Aged Care Employee Day

Aged Care Employee Day became a day of national recognition in 2019 to acknowledge 360,000 aged care workers nationally who contribute to caring for the more than 1.3 million people who receive aged care services in Australia.

Although many people primarily associate aged care with nurses, approximately 80% of the aged care workforce is comprised of other roles, such as allied health professionals, personal care assistants, cleaning and laundry, catering and chefs, management, maintenance, administration, leisure, and more.
