    Training Manager Apply Now

    Description

At our core, RSL LifeCare provides care and services to veterans and seniors who live in our communities or are receiving support at home. Our vision of creating proud communities living their best lives is at the heart of everything we do as we continue to build upon our legacy of supporting veterans and their families for more than 100 years.

We are currently seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Training Manager to support our Workforce Uplift Program on a 4-month fixed term contract. Based in St Leonards, this hybrid role will be responsible for managing the daily delivery of up to four small-scale digital training builds, including Web-Based Training (WBT) and Application Simulations, that are critical to the success of our business systems rollout.

This Fixed Term Contract (4 months) hands-on role is ideal for a training professional who thrives in fast-paced, project-driven environments and enjoys working with both local and offshore teams. We have a hybrid working model: three days in our office in St Leonards and two days working from home.

    Key Responsibilities of this role:

    • Oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent training builds (WBT and Application Simulations)
    • Partner with an onshore training lead and a Philippines-based offshore development team to ensure timely, high-quality outputs
    • Review and develop storyboards that align with system functionality and learner needs
    • Track progress, risks, and milestones; provide regular reporting to the Program Manager and other stakeholders
    • Draft training-related communications and contribute to change management initiatives to drive user adoption
    • Liaise with SMEs and key stakeholders to validate training needs and content
    • Work closely with the PMO to align training deliverables with overall project timelines and goals

    We'd expect you to have:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a training management or L&D role, preferably within a project environment
    • Demonstrated experience delivering digital learning content (WBT/Application Simulations) from concept to completion
    • Strong project management skills, including multi-tasking and managing competing deadlines
    • Experience working with offshore development teams (ideally in a digital learning context)
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
    • Familiarity with business systems such as Workday, UKG, or Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus
    • Experience with Articulate tools (Storyline, Rise) is advantageous but not essential
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to create effective training and change communications
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team

RSL LifeCare offer a range of benefits including:

    • Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $15,900 per year. This allows you to reduce your taxable income by receiving part of your salary as tax-free benefits like super contributions, car leasing and more, plus $2600 meal entertainment card annually
    • Fitness Passport
    • Staff discounts across 700 select retail stores through Maxxia Rewards
    • Leave Loading - 17.5% pay top up on paid leave
    • The opportunity to work with an organisation that is genuinely passionate, supportive and collaborative with each other, our people and our residents
    • Career development and progression opportunities across all areas of RSL LifeCare

    Our commitment to diversity:

We are proud to stand for our unique values: Do the Right Thing, Aim Higher, Care from the Heart, and Act as One team.

We welcome and encourage applications from people across our diverse community, especially from Veterans, current serving ADF personnel, their families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe, respected, valued and heard regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or disability.

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
