The care we provide focuses on your social, emotional, physical and clinical needs. Your well-being is our passion.
Our carers participate in a detailed recruitment process which includes background and reference checks as well as ongoing supervision to ensure the highest quality team of staff are on hand to delivery quality care. Our staff comprise of carers with a minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Residential Care and First Aid through to Registered Nurses. We also provide ongoing education and training to ensure our carers deliver the care that you want.
Our carers really get to know you – your history, your likes and dislikes, your health and capabilities, your family dynamic and the little things – how you like things done. Most importantly we want to know what you want to achieve and how we can help you to achieve that.
Our clients tell us that our carers are kind, genuinely caring, courteous, empathetic, trustworthy, reliable and compassionate.
With our team you’re in good hands.
We aim to make life easier and more enjoyable for you; to give you more freedom and flexibility by having friendly and amicable carers who are focused on you and your well-being. We want your carer to get to know you, building trust and friendship into your care so they know how you like things to be.
Hello, I’m Gail and I currently work with Home Care in Merimbula.
I had always wanted to be a nurse and after many years working in hospitality, I decided to retrain and become an Residential Care worker. I undertook training through TAFE and found my studies both stimulating and rewarding, and just what I needed at that point in my life.
On completion of my training and with my certificate proudly in hand, I applied for and gained employment at what is now RSL LifeCare Albert Moore Gardens in Merimbula, working in the community supporting Residential Care clients.
I find the best part of my job is when I see a client’s face light up with a big welcoming smile when I arrive to help them. I have to say, this journey has had a dual purpose, in that I have also learned much about myself. I enjoy the fact that I have an impact on our clients’ lives in enabling them to have an improved quality of life.
