A letter from a thankful son highlights the care and compassion given by the staff at RSL LifeCare Home Care.
Urs mother Carmen has dementia and he and his family…… have watched their mother face the challenging condition of dementia.
“It is with great pleasure and warm-hearted respect that I write these sentiments to you. It’s not often in my life that I meet people who exceed my expectations due to their attitude towards their profession.
“Her name is Angelique and she has taken my mother Carmen and many others under her wing.
“I have been informed and can see for myself that she has partly invented and evolved into her present position held at RSL Anzac Village, filling a major and vital gap for an ever-increasing ageing population facing dementia.
It is with great pleasure and warm-hearted respect that I write these sentiments to you. It’s not often in my life that I meet people who exceed my expectations due to their attitude towards their profession.”
“This is more than her profession. It is also her passion to educate herself on this condition which can ultimately only benefit all residing sufferers.
“In my opinion she is an invaluable asset.
“As a family we appreciate and feel fortunate for the level of care Carmen receives from all at the RSL Lifecare at Narrabeen and know her quality of life is far greater, happier and manageable due to Angelique’s unparalleled insight, understanding, care and organisation.
“Thanks to her insight on Dementia I have also learnt a lot about this condition resulting in me being a more understanding and supportive son to my mother as her Dementia undoubtedly will worsen over the years.”
