Gardening Apprentice – Narrabeen

• Gardening Apprentice – Permanent full-time position
• Work Monday – Thursday, 7 AM – 3 PM, Friday 7AM-1:30PM
• NFP Tax benefits – salary package up to $15,900 and $2,650 for meals and entertainment allowance.

We are offering a fabulous fully-funded apprenticeship opportunity in our gardening team at our flagship location, Anzac Village in Narrabeen. This is a full-time role looking after the day-to-day gardening activities across our Retirement Village in Narrabeen to ensure the gardens and grounds are always looking their absolute best.

About the role:
This role is a permanent position with 76 hours per fortnight with 1 fully paid day per week provide to attend TAFE and study towards a Certificate III in Horticulture. All TAFE costs will be paid by RSL LifeCare subject to satisfactory attendance and commitment to the course.

Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

• Maintenance of gardens and grounds, including hedging, pruning and weed spraying
• Planting of new shrubs and plants
• Other duties as directed by the Leader

What are we looking for?

• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards sustained maintenance of grounds
• Ability to interact with seniors on a day-to-day basis
• Drivers licence as you may be required to drive around the village

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.”
