Fee-free certified training for veterans or their partners across NSW with JobTrainer

In collaboration with Training Services NSW through their JobTrainer program, RSL LifeCare Veteran Services is providing access to four certification programs across hospitality, business, leadership and management especially for veterans and their partners living in New South Wales.

What are the training opportunities?

Statement of Attainment in Hospitality (Bar attendants and Baristas) – six (6) units of competence Statement of Attainment in Business – four (4) units of competence
  • SITHFAB001 Clean and tidy bar areas
  • SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
  • SITHFAB004 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
  • SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee
  • SITHFAB007 Serve food and beverage
  • SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety
  • BSBOPS303 Organise schedules
  • BSBTEC301 Design and produce business documents (Word)
  • BSBTEC302 Design and produce spreadsheets (Excel)
  • BSBTEC303 Create electronic presentations (Powerpoint)
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management – twelve (12) units of competence Certificate IV in Business – twelve (12) units of competence
  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
  • As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level are likely to provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They may also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of teams.
  • This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles.
  • Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills.

How do I register for these training opportunities?

All you need to do is complete these 5 easy steps:

23 September 2022 1.      Send an email to Cath Allen, RSL LifeCare Veteran Services, Wellbeing Manager; [email protected] indicating which training opportunity you are interested in by Friday, 23 September

2.      You will then be sent more information about the course, the flexible delivery options and a short form to complete by the end of September

28 September 2022 3.      Attend a virtual information session – Wednesday, 28 September (links will be sent out once EOI is received)

4.      Enrol into the course

6 October 2022 5.      Start the course

 

*Training under JobTrainer is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments.
