Volunteering opportunities with RSL LifeCare

At RSL LifeCare we know that our volunteers make an immeasurable difference to our clients’ and residents’ daily lives through positive connections and interactions.

But did you know, volunteering doesn’t only help the recipient? Volunteering not only benefits those you help but also enriches your own life, contributing to your local community and helping others can increase your own happiness and satisfaction, whilst fostering a strong sense of belonging and bonding in communities through boosted social connectivity.

Volunteering is also a great way to share your passions and find like-minded individuals who want to share their skills, talents, or hobbies.   From sport to art, cooking or reading – being able to share the joy of your interests with other people releases a sense of positivity and connection which has far-reaching emotional and mental wellbeing benefits.

Volunteer opportunities with RSL LifeCare:

We have several volunteer options available at the moment.  Please reach out to us if you feel like you would like to be involved with any of these important roles.

• Driver, Narrabeen – if you have a drivers licence, and would like to assist to drive our Homes for Heroes clients to medical appointments in the company’s car, we’d love to hear from you.
• Activity Support, Narrabeen – do you have a passion you’d like to share? We’re keen to find volunteers who would be interested in delivering wellbeing activities for our Homes for Heroes veteran clients.  The types of activities could include cooking, fishing, golfing, movies, BBQ, for example. This is a great way to establish positive connections and really make a difference to veterans.
• Veteran Visitor, various locations – we have many veterans who live in our residential care homes across NSW and the ACT. We’d love to have a veteran or a serving ADF member come and visit our veteran residents, and provide social support, discuss shared experiences, and build a positive connection. For just 1 hour per week, you could make a positive impact to a veteran.
