RSL LifeCare announces Mr. Mark Dickson as new Board Chairman as part of a planned Chair succession, with Mr. Andrew Condon stepping down from his role after four years.
Since 2018, Mr. Dickson has served as an active Director on the RSL LifeCare Board. Mr. Dickson also brings with him an understanding and commitment to the veteran community with 20 years’ military service.
Mr. Condon remains highly committed to the vital work that RSL LifeCare do on behalf of veterans and the Residential Care community and will remain on the Board as a Director. The change in Chair has been in progress since December 2020 when Mr. Condon announced he would not be re-standing as Board Chair for another term and would be seeking an appropriate time to hand over in 2021.
Mr. Dickson will commence as Board Chairman from 1 July 2021.
Mr. Condon says, “It’s been a challenging and exciting time as Board Chairman. When I first took on the position, I saw my role as an ‘Interim Chair’. Subsequently, my focus was to help get this proud organisation get back on its feet post the Bergin Inquiry in late 2017. This is now the case and coincides with a new cycle of strategic planning and a new Board and Executive team established.”

He has chaired a global Not for Profit Board and Board Audit, Remuneration, Governance and Development Committees. In his time with RSL LifeCare, Mr Dickson has chaired the Asset Portfolio and Development Board Committee and has been a member of the Audit and Risk, and the Transformation Committees.
CEO, Graham Millett says, “Andrew’s contribution and support during often unique circumstances can’t be underestimated. We are deeply grateful to have had his insight and support during his time as Board Chairman and very pleased that we’ll still be able to benefit from having him as an active Board member”.
“We are delighted to have someone of Mark’s significant experience, and high calibre step into this role and look forward to working closely with him as we guide the organisation through its next stage of growth.” he continued.
