What is RSL Life Care? Find out
September 23, 2021

98% of our aged care workers receive their first COVID-19 dose.

Keeping our residents safe and well has been RSL LifeCare’s number one priority during the COVID–19 pandemic.  The Federal Government highlighted the importance of keeping aged care residents safe from COVID-10 by mandating that all front-line staff working in residential aged care receive at least their first COVID-19 vaccination by Friday 17 September.

To date, 98% of our 2600 residential aged care workers have received their first COVID-19 vaccination with close to 80% now fully vaccinated. Everyone has done an amazing job in achieving this target and on behalf of the whole organisation including the Executive and Board – thank you!

The vaccination program was assisted by NSW Health through mobile clinics at two of our larger sites – ANZAC Village in Narrabeen and John Edmondson VC Gardens in Austral. These pop-up clinics have proven to be successful in making sure that over 90% of our 2150 residents in NSW and the ACT are also fully vaccinated.

This could not have possible without the professionalism and dedication of our frontline teams.

It’s also important for those remaining employees who have are yet to get their vaccination, to note that they must at least have a booking for their first shot in place before Thursday 30 September to satisfy the mandated requirements.
