About the Position – Carer – North Richmond
RSL Lifecare has an exciting Carer position available for an individual who has worked in an aged care setting.
The ideal candidate for this role would be an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic person with a passion for the provision of high-quality services to Veterans and/ or older Australians in an Aged Care environment. You will support the resident’s to meet their personal care needs and activities of daily life according to their plan of care and assist them to engage with their activities of choice each day.
As the Carer your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise all activities of daily living including personal hygiene and grooming
- The delivery of quality care and services to each resident as specified on their individual care plan
- Encouraging individual residents to meet and be responsible for activities of daily living according to their ability
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Certificate 3 in Aged Care or similar is essential
- Current Flu Vaccination – Essential
- Experience in assisting residents with medication administration
- Experience in caring for the aged within a residential setting with the understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives and all members of the care team
- Assist in the development and implementation of resident care plans

The successful candidate MUST undergo a National Criminal History Check, a current flu vaccination (if applying within Residential Care) and MUST hold valid Australian work rights/ visa.
