Announcement of Retirement of Carolyn Kwok

Dear residents, families, staff and volunteers

The Board of RSL LifeCare wishes to announce the planned retirement of Carolyn Kwok. Carolyn has been the Transitional CEO for the past 6 months, previously being the Deputy CEO. She has resigned with effect Friday 14 September.

Carolyn has worked at RSL LifeCare for 17 years. The Board acknowledges her dedication and long service to RSL LifeCare and its residents. The Board also appreciated her preparedness to step up to be the Transitional CEO to lead the organisation through a recovery, post the conclusion of the recent NSW Public Inquiry under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 and subsequent ACNC Enforceable Undertakings.

Carolyn has driven the organisation’s strong focus on the quality of care and safety for which she is held in high regard by residents at RSL LifeCare. She has led our clinical excellence, particularly during challenging times. The significant standing the organisation enjoys among Veterans, ageing Australians, their families and carers is testament to this. Carolyn has been acknowledged across the sector through various awards.

The Board wishes Carolyn a long and happy retirement. There will be appropriate opportunities for staff and residents to say farewell.

The Board has undertaken an exhaustive process to find and select a new CEO. That process is now in the final stages and an announcement is imminent.
