ANZAC Day 2020

When times are tough, Australians have always relied on the distinctive qualities of mateship, humour, ingenuity, courage, sacrifice and endurance to get us through. Known as the ANZAC Spirit, these six qualities have defined Australians ever since the first troops landed on the beaches of Gallipoli in World War I.

ANZAC Day 2020 will undoubtedly be a strange and unfamiliar experience however there is still plenty of things you can do from home to be involved and show your ANZAC Spirit from home.

Watch ANZAC Day Services

  • A Dawn Service is being held at the Australian War Memorial from 5.30am to 6.00am. Watch on ABC or stream online.
  • An Anzac Day Service will be held at 10am at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park Sydney. Watch on ABC or stream online.

Light Up The Dawn

‘Light up the Dawn’ is a campaign being promoted by RSLs across the country asking people to, at 6am, mark a Minute’s Silence at their driveway, balcony, front door or living room. RSL LifeCare encourages our residents, clients and the community to participate at 6am or at a time that suits them to remember all those who served and sacrificed. Please light a candle and join the rest of Australia in this special moment.
